This shift is reducing service technician training requirements while lowering the risk of misalignment damage to sensitive coolant seals during frequent maintenance cycles. Roughly 44 percent of new coupler installations now specify blind-mate designs, up meaningfully from a much smaller share only a few years earlier as the technology matured rapidly.
